Craft D.I.Y

Here is my D.I.Y. Before and After of my dining room light fixture.

I had this orange thing that didn't match anything in my house.

So armed with wine bottles, rubber bands, and a can of frosted spray paint, i went to town. It took me a little longer to finish this project than i thought it would, because i messed up a few times with the frost and cutting the bottles. But i think they turned out pretty well.

I have to say that in the process of hanging these i had to shut the power down a few times. Which meant running up and down the stairs. Well me being me at one point touched the insides with the power on!!! Yep i got zapped!

Oh well, live and learn! : )

So leave me a comment on what you think of my D.I.Y. wine bottle light fixture!

  2. I bought a bottle cutter from Hobby Lobby and using cold water and my steamer (for the hot) i cut them. I'm going to post a video how to on this soon.

  5. How creative & so beautiful! Who would have thought that empty wine bottles could repurpose as such!

  6. I think it is so pretty and has a romantic feel to it. Wish I could see a farther away picture to see how it looks hanging.
